Designed by Robert Welch in 1984, this pestle and mortar has a unique design. The mortar has a built in holder for the pestle, which doubles as a spout to pour out the dry or wet ingredients.

This large mortar is a generous size, ideal for grinding dried herbs, toasted spices and seaonings to create a rub or spice mix, or for breaking down fresh ingredients such as lemongrass, nuts, herbs, ginger, garlic or chillis to make curry pastes, marinades, salsas or pestos.
