A large Limbrey Bowl with echoes of mid-century design. Made from the highest quality mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel with a removable walnut base.

Design Notes

The Limbrey bowls were inspired by the shape of silver pieces designed by Robert Welch in 1963. He was commissioned by Heal’s to create a range of table silver for sale in their London shop. The collection was shown at a special exhibition at Heal’s in 1964, and items on display would be made to commission from the Chipping Campden Workshop.

This modern interpretation is made from 18/10 mirror-polished stainless steel with removable wooden base made from oiled Walnut, containing a magnet to hold it in place.

Product Care & How-to Guides

When washing your Stainless Steel Homeware by hand:
• Use a dry microfibre cloth, (dampened for more stubborn marks) and dried immediately after cleaning.
• To remove persistent marks, clean with a proprietary stainless steel cream cleaner (we recommend Bar Keepers Friend) using a microfibre cloth.
• Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
• To restore your stainless steel finish, we recommend using a dry microfibre cloth.

Designing the Robert Welch way

Robert Radford Welch MBE, RDI was one of the most respected British designers of the 20th century. He believed that everyone should be able to use beautifully designed products in everyday life. After training as a silversmith at the Royal College of Art in London, he specialised in design for stainless steel, establishing a company in his own name in 1955.

Today, the company works to ensure its rich legacy remains an inspiration to the design team, whilst continuing to innovate in terms of technique and technology.
