Design Notes

A double-walled ice bucket, part of the Drift range. All the pieces in the Drift collection are classically proportioned making them elegant and effortless to use. Compact and lightweight, the Drift ice bucket also has a generous capacity of 700ml and is double walled with a lid to keep ice frozen for longer.

The Drift double-walled ice bucket sits perfectly alongside Drift Champagne and wine coolers to create dramatic settings, indoors or out. What really brings them to life is the setting you choose to place them in as the mirror polished stainless steel surfaces of the Drift Collection reflect whatever is around them, making your celebration the real centrepiece.

Pair with the Radford Bright Bar Tongs, Ice Scoop, Drift Serving Tray and our Drinks stirrers for cocktails and celebrations, or as a complete set for entertaining at home and in the garden.

Designed to conjure a feeling of fluid movement, the organic shapes and reflective, polished surfaces of the Drift Collection enhance any setting. The Drift range includes: candleholders, bowls, salt and pepper shakers, barware, pitchers, and tea and coffee pots.

Product Care & How-to Guides

We recommend washing your Drift Barware and Tea Collection in the dishwasher:

• Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F)
• Use quality branded all in one dishwasher tablets*
• Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas).
• Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining - especially on knives).
• Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly.

*For UK customers we recommend Fairy Platinum Plus and for US customers Cascade Platinum Plus

When washing your Drift Barware and Tea Collection by hand:
Rinse your Drift barware, tea collection or glassware as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush**. Try to avoid soaking in water and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.

**Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.

Designing the Robert Welch way

Robert Radford Welch MBE, RDI was one of the most respected British designers of the 20th century. He believed that everyone should be able to use beautifully designed products in everyday life. After training as a silversmith at the Royal College of Art in London, he specialised in design for stainless steel, establishing a company in his own name in 1955.

Today, the company works to ensure its rich legacy remains an inspiration to the design team, whilst continuing to innovate in terms of technique and technology.
