Design Notes
The shapes of the Cascade designs, vases and dishes, are inspired by movement in nature. The fluid twist suggests the layered ripples of cascading water, the wind-sculpted peaks of sand, or large clam shells.
The bowls are functional but aesthetically pleasing, and can be used as a practical, artistic or decorative piece bringing texture and shine to your home. The vases look just as beautiful filled with flowers, with a carefully balanced branch of blossom, or left empty.
The reflective, mirror-polished surface enhances the sculptural form of the bowls, allowing them to catch and reflect light and colour. The vases feature a soft, matt surface finish to enhance the ‘natural’ sensory experience.
Displaying the brightly polished Cascade stainless steel bowls alongside the gentle satin vases creates a contrast of finishes and material, and really brings the movement captured in each to life.
Technical Information
The small Cascade serving bowl is made from finest 18/10 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish.
The Cascade vases are made from bone china with a satin glaze finish.

Care & Need to Know
Caring for your Cascade Vases:
Use a dry microfibre cloth* (dampened for more stubborn marks) and dried immediately after cleaning.
*Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
For stainless steel only products we recommend washing in the dishwasher*:
• Wash on a short hot cycle 65°-75°C (150°-167°F)
• Use quality branded all in one dishwasher tablets*
• Keep Rinse Aid topped up and Salt (for hard water areas).
• Avoid washing with non-stainless steel metals (this can cause rust staining).
• Ensure the dishwasher filters are cleaned and use a proprietary dishwasher cleaner regularly.
*For UK customers we recommend Fairy Platinum Plus and for US customers Cascade Platinum Plus.
When washing your stainless steel tableware by hand:
Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth or non abrasive brush**. Try to avoid soaking your tableware and always dry thoroughly immediately after washing.
**Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.
To restore your stainless steel finish, we recommend using a dry microfibre cloth.

Designing the Robert Welch way
Robert Radford Welch MBE, RDI was one of the most respected British designers of the 20th century. He believed that everyone should be able to use beautifully designed products in everyday life. After training as a silversmith at the Royal College of Art in London, he specialised in design for stainless steel, establishing a company in his own name in 1955.
Today, the company works to ensure its rich legacy remains an inspiration to the design team, whilst continuing to innovate in terms of technique and technology.
