Design Story: Palm

Palm Air Bright blends timeless inspiration with modern engineering, creating a collection that feels both familiar and wonderfully unexpected at the table. Its hollow-handled design is deceptively light - defying its solid appearance.

“We wanted to offer an element of surprise at the table,” says Head of Creative, Kit deBretton Gordon. “Palm Air Bright looks traditionally elegant - until you pick it up. Each handle is hollow, welded seamlessly, and finished with soft edges for a comfortable, tactile grip.”

Inspired by the flowing lines of tropical palm leaves, the design plays with light and shadow along every handle. It also pays homage to historic English cutlery patterns, which were often filled with sand or cement.

Palm Air Bright combines precision engineering with traditional craftsmanship to achieve the modern hollow-handles of today that are elegant and balanced.
