Caring for knife storage and kitchen accessories

A collection of knife storage and kitchen accessories designed to enhance the home cooking experience. All Robert Welch kitchenware has been created with function in mind as well as being an attractive addition to the countertop.

Care of products with ABS plastic parts

Use a dry microfibre cloth*, (dampened for more stubborn marks) and dried immediately after cleaning.

*Always avoid scouring with pads or abrasive cleaners as this will scratch the surface.

Care of cast iron kitchen products

Please handwash only, cast iron is not suitable for the dishwasher.

For a quick clean, simply wipe over with a damp microfibre cloth and thoroughly dry. Or for a comprehensive clean wash with hot, soapy, water and dry thoroughly. Apply a light coat of mineral oil to add protection to the surface and avoid oxidation.

Ensure your cast iron products remain dry and are not kept anywhere humid.

Care of wooden chopping boards

Hand wash in warm water and dry immediately, never immerse your chopping board fully in water. Treat with a suitable food-safe mineral oil on a regular basis to maintain your chopping boards condition. Wipe off excess oil and allow to dry before using.

Care of wooden knife storage and kitchen accessories (with protective coating)

Certain Robert Welch kitchen accessories have a protective coating on the surface (also know as a lacquered finish). These include: Q Knife Blocks, Compact Knife Blocks, Bamboo knife draw unit, Limbrey accessories.

For a quick clean, simply wipe over with a damp microfibre cloth and thoroughly dry. Or for a comprehensive clean wash with hot, soapy, water and dry thoroughly. Treat with a suitable food-safe mineral oil on a regular basis to maintain optimum condition. Wipe off excess oil and allow to dry before using.

Care of wooden knife storage and kitchen accessories (with an oiled finish)

Certain knife blocks and chopping boards are treated with a food safe vegetable oil during manufacture. These include: Prism Knife Block, Book Knife Block, Angle Knife Block, Classic chopping boards (30cm and 38cm), Pebble chopping boards (30cm and 32cm).

Use a dry microfibre cloth, (dampened for more stubborn marks) and dried immediately after cleaning.

Care for non-stick utensils

Heat resistant up to 210°C.
• Dishwasher safe.

When washing your non-stick utensils by hand:

Rinse utensil to remove all traces of food as soon as possible after use. Wash in warm soapy water with a microfibre cloth. Dry immediately.

Care of Signature storage jars

Only the base is dishwasher safe!
